Radiant cuts are having a moment right now. They're basically what happens when you take an emerald cut and add a ton more sparkle. The shape is rectangular with cut corners, but the faceting makes them throw light like crazy.
Different Ways to Set Them
Solitaire
Just the diamond and a band. Clean, classic, shows off the stone's actual shape. Works especially well with radiants because the cut itself is so interesting to look at.
Halo
Small diamonds circle the main stone. Makes everything look bigger and adds extra shine. Pretty popular choice - you see a lot of these on Instagram.
Hidden Halo
Diamonds tucked under the center stone where you can't see them from above. Nice surprise when you turn your hand. Less flashy than regular halos but still gives you extra sparkle.
Side Stones
Additional diamonds on either side of the center. Could be more radiants, could be other shapes. Depends what look you're going for.
Pavé Bands
Tiny diamonds set into the band itself. Adds shine without competing with your main stone. Good middle ground if you want some extra but not too much.
Three Stone
Center radiant with two side stones. Traditional meaning is past, present, future. Just looks balanced and substantial on your hand.
Diamond Options
You can get natural diamonds that formed underground over millions of years, or lab grown ones made in controlled conditions. Lab diamonds are chemically identical - same hardness, same sparkle, usually cost less.
Both types work exactly the same in jewelry. The difference is mostly where they came from and how much you want to spend.
About Radiant Cuts
These diamonds have 70 facets, which is why they sparkle so much. The rectangular shape makes fingers look longer. Most people like ratios between 1.15 and 1.50 - that keeps them from looking too square or too skinny.
Radiants usually cost less per carat than round diamonds, so you can go bigger or save money. The cut quality matters more than with some other shapes though. Poor cut radiants can look dull.
We check every stone for proper proportions and light return before putting it in our collection. No point selling diamonds that don't perform well.
