Make Your Own Ring (It's Actually Pretty Easy)
Ring shopping sucks. You walk into stores, everything's overpriced, and the salesperson keeps pushing whatever makes them the most commission.
So we built this thing instead.
Pick a setting first. The solitaire's probably what you picture when someone says "engagement ring" - just one diamond doing its thing. Halo makes your diamond look bigger because there's a bunch of tiny ones around it. Three stone is for people who like symmetry. The vintage stuff looks like something from your great aunt's jewelry box, but in a good way.
Then pick your diamond. Natural ones came from underground somewhere over millions of years. Lab ones got made in a machine last month. They look the same. One costs more because... reasons.
You can mess with the shape - round's the most popular but oval's having a moment. Princess cut looks like a square. The rest have weird names.
Metal's whatever. Most people do white gold because it matches everything. Yellow gold if you're feeling retro. Rose gold if you shop at anthropologie a lot. Platinum if money isn't a thing.
The price changes as you pick stuff. No surprises when you check out.
That's basically it. Make something your person will actually want to wear every day for the next fifty years. No pressure or anything.
